Last Week, The Juice Academy Hosted its Debut 'An Evening With...' Event

Imagine you were an apprentice but sure at some point in your career you'd like to run your own business ... and NOW you've been given the chance to interview a successful entrepreneur? Last week, The Juice Academy brought this to life when we hosted our debut ‘An Evening With...’ event. We kicked-off this series of events with Neil McArthur MBE, a founder of Opal Telecoms that formed global enterprise TalkTalk, and eventually was sold to Carphone Warehouse. Neil is now semi-retired but still very active in TalkTalk and his charity, Hamilton Davies Trust, as well as being Chairman of Tech Manchester. Neil was interviewed by our digital marketing apprentices, Bethany Orrow of My Accountancy P

A Juicy Week

‘Work experience.’ As a 17 year old this was a term I half dreaded to hear. However, all of my dread disappeared the second I stepped into the building. After a warm welcome from Sue, the fabulous receptionist, I then met the Juice Academy team. Throughout the week, I was made to feel included, and any ideas I contributed were heard and appreciated. There was never a dull moment in the office, and as someone with no previous knowledge of PR or digital marketing at the beginning of the week, I can now say that I have an understanding of PR and the tools and techniques used. I'd previously worked as a project coordin

One Step Back. Two Steps Forward

My journey started when I first attended the Juice Academy Boot Camp on the 13th of April 2017. I'd never done owt like it before. The room was full of bright, intelligent people - all determined to secure a digital marketing apprenticeship with the programme. Initially, I didn't know what to think because I'd always been so unsettled in knowing which career path to take. However, once I learnt more about this exciting industry, I knew it was something I would love to be a part of. At my very first Boot Camp, I was unsuccessful in getting an apprenticeship. Before I went home, I wanted to thank Sandy, the founder of the Academy, for giving me the opportunity to attend. This is when Sandy
