Instagram has turned 5 years old this year and what better way to close 2015 by looking at the fastest growing social media network on the planet.

This year Instagram has smashed an amazing 400 million user’s milestone. This is an impressive achievement for any social networking site, however Instagram has strived throughout the years on celebrity engagement, sharing pictures of their own lives and connecting with their fans.

With 80 million photos uploaded per day and 3.5 billion likes per day, it’s not hard to see why lots of celebrities (specifically bands & artists) are using Instagram to promote upcoming concerts or album releases.

Taylor Swift, one of the most famous and inspirational artists of modern music, has taken the crown of having the most followers on Instagram. She tops the lot with a staggering 49.6 million followers, beating the Kardashians and even JUSTIN BIEBER!

Talking about the Kardashians…love them or hate them, you just cannot seem to get away from them! Although you may be thinking: ‘oh here comes Kim taking over the internet again!’ you will be pleasantly surprised that it’s actually her little sister who has taken the title of the most liked photo on Instagram - with a staggering 2.6 million likes!
