PH. CREATIVE & THE JUICE ACADEMY SELECTED FOR NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIP SERVICE MARKETING CAMPAIGN
Apprentices across the country are the stars of the Get In Go Far campaign, that calls on young people to kick-start their career by choosing an apprenticeship. The new campaign shows young people, their parents and employers that work-based routes into employment are no longer ‘second best’ to a university education and highlights the top quality opportunities available in some of the thousands of businesses.
Get In Go Far builds on the success of the apprenticeship campaign that ran throughout 2014 and led to a 140 per cent increase in telephone enquiries to the apprenticeships helpline and a big increase in web traffic to the Government’s apprenticeship website.
The Juice Academy – the UK’s first industry-led social media apprenticeship programme - was launched in 2013 by leading communications consultancy, Tangerine, to help fill a skills gap in the digital industry and to create jobs for young people. PH.Creative has been a key part of this initiative from the beginning, sitting on the Advisory Panel and also hiring several apprentices to be part of its team.
Stefan Price, who’s been with PH since July, was the selected apprentice and he’s been filmed in the office doing his social media and digital marketing activities, as well as in the classroom at The Juice Academy, alongside all of his fellow trainees.
“We’ve been big fans and supporters of The Juice Academy since the beginning,” explained Bryan Adams, MD and founder of PH.Creative. “We’re always keen to support initiatives that promote the sector to the next generation and help young people to get a foot in the door of our superb sector.”
Stefan commented: “Being a part of this campaign has been nothing but amazing! I’ve met fellow apprentices who I’ll be friends for life with, I’ve learnt new things and I’ve taken on a lot of new responsibility. To represent such an in important government initiative fills me with pride and responsibility.”
Skills Minister Nick Boles said: “This campaign will show young people and their parents the incredible things you can achieve if you choose to learn while you earn. Our apprentice stars and the millions more who have already benefitted from an apprenticeship, are examples of how an apprenticeship can take you anywhere and help you rise to the top in any industry, any job and up to any level.”
