THE JUICE ACADEMY PARTNERS WITH HOOTSUITE TO TRAIN APPRENTICES AND SUPPORT NORTH WEST CHARITIES

Leading digital apprenticeship programme – The Juice Academy – has formed a unique partnership with leading social media management platform, Hootsuite to support apprentices and charities in the North West region.

Hootsuite is a leading social media management platform, created in Vancouver by Ryan Holmes in 2008. The system's user interface takes the form of a dashboard, and supports social network integrations for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google+ and YouTube.

Juice Academy apprentices will receive training on how to use the platform, as well as free licenses for the duration of their apprenticeship programme and guest lectures from Hootsuite’s leading practitioners.

And Hootsuite will also fund the ‘top up fee’ of one charitable/not for profit organisation on every Juice Academy cohort going forward. What this means is that charities, which often employ people to run their social media platforms, while performing myriad other roles within the organisation – in order to save costs – can now put these multi-taskers on the programme to be professionally trained by Juice Academy tutors completely free of charge.

Rob Coyne, MD of Hootsuite EMEA said: “I have admired The Juice Academy from afar for many years and I can’t tell you how proud I am to announce this partnership and to have found a way to support the great work they do with young people.”

Juice Academy founder and chair, Sandy Lindsay said: “We’ve been trying to find a way to enable more charities to retrain their superb teams and we’re so grateful for the generosity of Hootsuite in making this happen. It’s also superb news that each and every Juice Academy apprentice will now be trained how to use one of the leading social media programming and evaluation tools – so everyone’s a winner!”

The Juice Academy has created more than 300 jobs in top North West firms since its creation six years ago and takes in a new cohort every quarter – the next intake ‘bootcamp’ is 18th April and there are still places for both employers and apprentices but the deadline is fast approaching. Employers and young people can visit: www.juiceacademy.co.uk to be part of it. Any charities wanting to apply for the bursary for one of the up and coming cohorts should apply at-
