The Juice Academy Celebrate as three Apprentices are Shortlisted for the Made in Manchester Awards

Social Media Apprentices Made in Manchester

Three apprentices from The Juice Academy have been shortlisted for the Apprenticeship of the Year category at the Made in Manchester Awards, meaning nearly half of those shortlisted in total hail from the UK’s first industry led social media programme.

Niall Wilson, of Pharmacist Supports, Sammie Williams, of POP Marketing and Jack Bocock, of Tunafish Media, are now through to the interview stage which will take place on the 5th January.

Pending successful interviews, the apprentices will be invited to the awards cermony on the 2nd February, to be held at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate Hotel.

Sammie Williams said: “I’m so proud to have made the shortlist, especially amongst so many other talented individuals. I’m looking forward to the interview in January and hope I can do enough to get through to the awards in February!”

Sandy Lindsay MBE, chair of Tangerine and The Juice Academy, added: “To have three of our apprentices nominated really speaks volumes about the quality of apprentices The Academy consistently produces.”

“Since launching in 2013, The Juice Academy has placed over 180 young people in positions across the North West and we’re so proud that Sammie, Niall and Jack will be recognised for their hard work."

The brainchild of Manchester’s Tangerine, The Juice Academy was launched to increase youth employment and fill an industry-wide skills gap by training young professionals in the practical application of social media.
