The only way is up!

I am very pleased to announce that I have been offered a permanent position at Tangerine!

Cerys Wason, account director, called me into a catch-up meeting and explained that after all my hard work I’d become a real asset to the B2B team, and as a result they would like to offer me a permanent position – should I choose to accept it – and I didn’t hesitate to say yes.

It’s hard to believe that this time last year I had just finished my A-Levels and was spending time scouring the internet, looking for a course that suited me. Now, I’m ten months into my social media and digital marketing apprenticeship with The Juice Academy, looking forward to officially becoming PR assistant on the 1st October.

Along with hundreds of other hopefuls, I applied for the social media and digital marketing apprenticeship in September 2013. After the rigorous boot camp day I successfully secured a placement with Tangerine. But that was just the start…

Throughout the year I’ve learnt an array of skills, attended numerous networking events throughout the North West and developed myself as an individual and a professional. Before joining the academy, I wasn’t very confident when presenting, but now I enjoy it and I’m looking forward to becoming client-facing and talking to a wider range of people.

Being offered the job is a massive achievement for me. The months of hard work, dedication, a passion for what I’m doing and the drive to learn and achieve have all paid off. I feel very lucky to have been given the chance to shine, and will be grabbing the opportunity with both hands.

I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout my apprenticeship, particularly, the Tangerine B2B team, the Juice Academy team and tutors, Lucy Adams and Total People.
