A Juicy Week

‘Work experience.’ As a 17 year old this was a term I half dreaded to hear.

However, all of my dread disappeared the second I stepped into the building. After a warm welcome from Sue, the fabulous receptionist, I then met the Juice Academy team. Throughout the week, I was made to feel included, and any ideas I contributed were heard and appreciated. There was never a dull moment in the office, and as someone with no previous knowledge of PR or digital marketing at the beginning of the week, I can now say that I have an understanding of PR and the tools and techniques used. But not only this - I have also adopted a whole host of invaluable skills and knowledge, including what’s taught at The Juice Academy and what it’s all about. I was fortunate enough to sit in on one of The Juice Academy's workshops with its apprentices, and it was great to see how it all works and how well the team looks after both current apprentices and alumni. It really did give me an insight into the apprenticeship process and as someone who is unsure about university, I can safely say that now, this really could be an option for me!

All-in-all, it was a fantastic and enjoyable week. I'm surprised at how much I have learned after being with the team for only a short period of time and I would definitely recommend anyone to do work experience at The Juice Academy, as it will be an experience you won’t regret!
