National Apprenticeship Week 2022

After weeks of planning, creating and scheduling content, as well as planning events leading up to National Apprenticeship Week, it soon arrived and what a week it was! So, for those of you who weren’t in the loop with the exciting things we got up to last week, here is a little overview.

Monday

To kickstart the week, we made our way over to Bentley Motors in Crewe to join members of the North West Apprenticeship Ambassador Network and take part in some ‘seed-bomb’ throwing to launch (both literally and metaphorically) our way into National Apprenticeship Week 2022. We look forward to watching our seedlings grow alongside the growth and development of our apprentices…how symbolic!

Tuesday

On Tuesday we welcomed an enthusiastic Year 8 class from Dean Trust Ardwick into the Academy. We spent the morning talking about everything apprenticeships and working in the digital industry. Our Digital Marketing Executive, Megan, spoke about her apprenticeship journey and we also set the group a campaign task… and what a creative bunch they were! We saw some incredible storyboards and heard lots of amazing ideas. We hope to see some familiar faces joining our apprenticeship a few years’ time.

Wednesday

Wednesday, we had a trip to the Chamber of Commerce for the Business Growth Hub Skills for Growth event. It was such a great atmosphere networking with other businesses, listening to an amazing panel of speakers and being a part of the discussion to help build the future with apprenticeships.

Thursday

Thursday, just like the rest of the week, was a day for content on our socials. Each day we had themed posts across Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin and YouTube. From Biggest Achievement posts and videos with our apprentices to Ask an Apprentice questions and blogs, we had a wide range of exciting things happening on our platforms. We recommend you check them out and follow us to keep updated on what our current and graduated apprentices are up to, events we attend, tips and tricks…and more!

Friday

Last but certainly not least, Friday! This day was all about celebrating success of apprenitces, old and new. We held a virtual ‘Celebrating Success’ event that focussed on the outstanding achievements of our apprentices, current and graduated. We had a panel of successful graduates who provided some incredible advice for our apprentices currently on the programme. A massive thank you to Emma Green from Peel L&P, Marco Tadete from Venture Motion and Ayra Asif from Lightbulb Media. Want to find out what was said but didn’t get chance to join us on the day? Don’t worry, you can check out the full video on our YouTube channel here.

Thank you to everyone who took part in National Apprenticeship Week to help spread the word on how incredible apprenticeships are. We thoroughly enjoyed it, now bring on NAW2023!
