#NAW2014 - A day in the life of social media apprentice, Chloe Mitchell

No two days are the same in my role and that’s one of the many thing I love about my job.

I work across both Bolton Lads and Girls Club (BLGC) and Warrington Youth Club (WYC), and half term is always the busiest period for both clubs.

During this time, we’ve used social media to promote some of the activities, which included BLGC tweeting some great pictures of the football camp we’ve hosted. The weather has been so bad and the pitch is extremely waterlogged but the children have loved every minute of it!

I’ve also been looking at a new design for the homepage of the WYC website to brighten and funk it up, so this has meant liaising with a designer and our website owners to action this in the next few weeks – exciting times!

My key focus today has been finalising content for our 12-page Club News magazine, which gets sent out quarterly to our patrons, supporters, parents, businesses and schools around Bolton.

I gather news worthy content and images from key members of staff across the different areas of the club, so everyone has an update of what’s going on at BLGC. Once the content is approved, I hand it over to our designers.

This will be distributed in the coming weeks, and I’ll be so proud to see it in the flesh and think, ‘I did that’.
